CAD Course

Learning to draw using CAD is not just about finding out which button does what. Its also about looking ahead 2 or 3 steps, and using the best route to get there. You really can save yourself a great deal of time and effort by developing good habits and techniques, and learning to apply them. This course, aimed particularly at the demands of woodworkers, is based around the AutoCAD/AutoCAD LT/IntelliCAD programs. Details of the latter and how to obtain it are given below

I have distilled the experience gained over 15 years of CAD drawing in architecture, joinery and in particular, as an illustrator for the leading woodworking magazines in the UK, into a course which will help you to draw in the real (or virtual) world. This course is intended to compliment any books and on-line help you may already have, and which apply to the specific CAD software you are using.

I am also looking for potential students to receive tutorials direct via the internet. I am currently offering short sessions FREE of charge, so if you have Windows XP running on your computer and a Broadband connection, and you want to try something on the cutting edge of technology, email me using the link below.

CAD COURSE

AVAILABLE SOON

The course is split into 3 modules, covering the fundamental techniques of CAD drawing, the application of those techniques to achieve the result you want in less time, and the progression from 2 to 3D drawing and presentation drawings.

The course modules are actually web pages, that would be stored on your hard disk, and would open in your web browser, in a similar way to the "help" documents of many programs. The advantages of this type of delivery include being able to view course material as you are working on a CAD drawing and hypertext links ( the blue text links which we all take for granted when we use the internet) to take you to other sections of the course material on demand and instantly
